Pinckney Neighborhood
|
The Pinckney Neighborhood
is one of the oldest in the city. It bears the
former name of 6th Street. Until 1912, 6th Street
was named Pinckney Street after a Revolutionary
War Hero. It covers the area from the Kaw to
Iowa Street/Mcdonald Drive, 6th Street to I-70.

Ongoing Events |
To better serve the neighborhood,
the PNA sponsors several events each year, including
a twice-a-year neighborhood cleanup (May and
October) and a picnic. Last fall the PNA put
on an extremely well-attended block dance at
the Pinckney School Playground. Everyone is
invited to participate.
Events will be advertised in the newsletter,
on the website, and in the Journal-World. And
if you'd like to be notified...or reminded...by
email, sign up to be placed on our free mailing
list.
